Nomination Process:
Businesses can be nominated by any Chamber member, or by self-nomination. This award is available to Chamber members only. All nominations must be submitted on the Small Business of the

Month nomination form. All verified nominations will remain eligible for consideration for three months from the date of submission.

Eligibility Criteria:
 Saraland Area Chamber of Commerce member in good standing for at least one year.
 Have fewer than 50 employees.
 In business for at least one year.
 Public service contribution through community support.
 Provide superior customer service and/or products.
 Considered a successful and professional business among peers.
Recognition will include:
 Article in the “Insight” e-newsletter.
 Certificate of Recognition.
 Email Blast announcement and social media distribution.
 Sign in front of business for one month.
 Picture on website and in Chamber lobby.
Selection Process:
Deadline for nominations is 9:00 a.m. the 4th Tuesday of each month. Nominations are verified by
the Chamber staff and reviewed by a Board appointed selection committee. Monthly recipients
will be eligible for the Business of the Year Award, which will be recognized at the Annual
Meeting in December.
